Welcome! 歓迎 (huān yíng) was one of the first words I learned in Mandarin. In Japanese we also tend to learn quickly that ようこそ is the usual word for "welcome". But, as it also happens in Korean, sometimes there is another word with the same meaning but that is considered more formal and/or "literary", and comes from Chinese.
In Japanese 歓迎 is read as かんげい and is a noun, but can be used with する as a verb. From the well-known Core6k decks we get these two examples:
温かい歓迎を受けました。
I received a warm welcome.
日本に来てくれたらいつでも歓迎します。
If you can make it to Japan, you'll be welcome anytime.
